“ Ecliptic lucky day” 黄道吉日 In ancient China, farmers have paid great attention to days and weather for farm work as well as their daily activities. For a good harvest in the coming year they had to pray for good weather. So they implied this to all kinds of things they want to do , and naturally to choose a good day for good luck is anticipated. This day , in Chinese is called the “ Ecliptic lucky day”. Ecliptic is the path of the Sun, Moon and Planets.Everyday the Sun moves over our heads, although the Sun’s route we perceived is different,especially in the summer and winter. But actually its route is relatively fixed and this can be proved by tracing the Sun’s routing in relation to the Zodiac; the 12 constellations swirling around the earth all the year. (This plane is where the earth orbits around the Sun, most planets revolve around the Sun near this plane;so our solar system seems rather flat) And our ancients observes the stars and Sun rises everyday in according to the Zodiac ,and set down the rule for the “Ecliptic lucky days” 在中國古代，農民對天時都很重視。因氣候的影響，但凡所有農活都要看天，以求風調雨順，豐收過年。自自然然各樣事情都要選一個好日子，以求大吉大利。這個好日子，就叫“黃道吉日” 黃道，就是每天太陽在我們頭頂經過的路線，雖然我們看起來它的位置一年四季都不同，但跟據它在二十八宿或星座運行的位置，知道是相對穩定的。（這個是地球繞太陽轉的平面，也是大多數行星繞太陽轉的平面，所以太陽系看來是偏平的。） 就這樣古人就定下黃道（太陽）和黑道（月亮）了。 看通勝，每日都註有建日，除日，满日，平日，定日，執日，破日，危日，成日，收日，開日和閉日。……這是擇日行事的重要依據，曆法稱為「建除十二神」。共12个，周而復始，每一日由一個神管轄。「建除十二神」所管轄的日子，宜做甚麼？忌做甚麼？都有明文規定，是擇日基本規矩。 “Twelve gods of built” 「建除十二神」 These below are the “Twelve gods of built” recorded in the Chinese Almanac and one for each day in sequence. 建日 （Built）--- Auspicious day for the people with authorities , Governor and ambassadors etc . Good for recruitment launch an official mega events for the nation. No suitable for ground breaking , renovation or repairing work. 平常日，但利公務員、利上官赴任、臨政親民、亦宜招賢，即是招請工作職員。不利動土 ！ 除日 （Remove）---It’s a good day for “Remove the old & built the new” Suitable for curing disease at hospital , travel or marriage . 吉日, 為除舊佈新之日和掃除惡照之日，宜擺放風水物品、結婚, 求醫、療病。 滿日 （Full）--Appropriate for sacrifice,supplication, minor repairing. 平常日，宜祭祀，立約，交易，開倉庫，出貨財，補垣塞穴。 平日 （Smooth）--- This day everything can be done . Suitable for repairing house , blessing, make business deal or marriage. 平常日，此日萬事皆可 一般修屋，求福，外出，求財，嫁娶都可以。 定日 （Stable）--- Appropriate for make an agreement , entertainment, exploring business ideas. No immediate work to be done except for planing purposes. 定日諸事不宜。 只可做應酬,合約和策劃性的工作。 執日 （Hold） --- Appropriate for building house ,planting, pest control , worshiping , signing contract . 宜健屋，立约，求子，補造，捕賊擒兇，結婚，吉日。 破日 （Break） --- Appropriate for pulling down house or buildings introspection,medical treatment and sitting for an examination. 凶日，宜破屋， 破舊反思，求醫治病及赴考求明。。 危日 （Crisis）--- Dangerous day to be too outstanding in anything . 平常日，位高勢危，“高” 乃出人頭地，特出！忌登山涉險，餘事平平。 成日 （Succeed）--- Appropriate for starting school , marriage , taking up an job offer , praying for fortune , opening business, seeking medical treatment , relocating and travailing . 吉日，宜開市、宴會、結婚、赴任、求醫、療病。 收日 （Harvest）--- All harvest are beneficial. Good day for collections and making business deals. 平常日，宜納財、捕捉納畜。 開日 （Open） --- This day is good to carry out everything is auspicious. 吉日，宜祭祀、祈福、求嗣、赴任、動土、開市、栽動、安葬。 閉日 （Close）--- It is good for repairing and building dams 平常日，宜築隄防，補垣塞穴。
